Stephen G. Roman, B.A., Chairman, President & CEO
Mr. Roman is an entrepreneur/financier who has been involved in the resource industry over the past 40 years and has successfully identified, financed, developed, and brought into commercial production many mining and oil and gas projects. His past experience includes acting as a director and senior officer of Denison Mines Limited, Lawson Mardon Group, and Zemex Corporation. He also worked to modernize Canada’s Armed Forces in 1984/85 as Policy Adviser to the Minister of National Defense. In addition, Mr. Roman spearheaded the privatization of two major petrochemical companies in Central Europe and was appointed Chairman of Novácke Chemické Závody, a.s., in 2002, Slovakia’s largest petrochemical company with 2,800 employees.
In recent years, Mr. Roman’s focus has been to finance and develop emerging junior, publicly-listed companies, which included: Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., Gabriel Resources Ltd., Verena Minerals Corporation (now Belo Sun Mining Corp.), Exall Energy Corporation, Polar Star Mining Corporation, Silvermet Inc., and Global Atomic Fuels Corporation (a private Ontario corporation). Mr. Roman was recently the founder, Co-Chairman and Director of Gold Eagle Mines Ltd., which was acquired by Goldcorp Inc. for $1.5 Billion. He is currently Chairman, President & CEO of Global Atomic Fuels Corporation, Harte Gold Corp. and Silvermet Inc.
Since 1991, when Mr. Roman started his own Mining and Resource house, he has successfully completed approximately $2.5 billion in transactions in the mining, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. Mr. Roman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Guelph, Ontario in the field of Geology and Geography. He is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum and a former director of the Advisory Board of the College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph. Most recently, Mr. Roman was awarded the honour of “Prospector of the Year” for 2016 and has received the “Bill Dennis Award” from the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) in March, 2016.
George A. Flach, P.Geo., Vice President Exploration
Mr. Flach has over 30 years experience in mineral exploration, credited with the discovery of the 20Moz Gold Fields Tarkwa, 4Moz Bogosu and 2Moz Benso mines in Ghana and the 2Moz Goulagou mine in Burkino Faso.
Derek C. Rance, P.Eng., MBA
Mr. Rance is a principal of Behre Dolbear & Company Inc. a global mining industry consultancy, industry experience includes President and COO of Iron Ore Company of Canada, Mine Manager at the Dickenson Mine, Red Lake, Ontario.
Richard R. Faucher, P.Eng.
Mr. Faucher is a retired metallurgical engineer with extensive experience managing large mining projects, formerly Vice-President, Brunswick Mining & Smelting (Noranda Inc.) President & General Manager, Falconbridge Dominicana.
Douglas Scharf, C.P.A. (ret’d)
Mr. Scharf is a retired Chartered Professional Accountant with over 35 years’ experience in international precious metal and base metal mining. As Chief Financial Officer of the Dome Mines Group of Companies, he was instrumental in the formation of Placer Dome Inc. and served as Director and Chief Financial Officer of Inmet Mining Corporation and other public issuers.
Richard Sutcliffe, Ph.D., P.Geo.
Mr. Sutcliffe is a Professional Geoscientist with 30 years’ experience in global mineral exploration and development. He has had key management roles in developing several gold, platinum group metals, and copper-nickel mining projects. Dr. Sutcliffe was formerly President and CEO of TSX listed Ursa Major Minerals Inc. and TSXV listed Auriga Gold Corp. and is currently an associate of P&E Mining Consultants Inc.; a mining industry consultancy.
Richard Colterjohn, B.Comm, MBA
Mr. Colterjohn is Managing Partner of Glencoban Capital Management Inc., a merchant banking firm and has over 25 years’ experience in the mining sector as an investment banker, director and operator. Prior to co-founding Glencoban Capital in 2002, Mr. Colterjohn served as a Managing Director at UBS Bunting Warburg from 1992 to 2002, where he was Head of Mining Sector investment banking activities in Canada. In 2004, Mr. Colterjohn founded Centenario Copper Corporation where he served as President and CEO and Director, until the sale of the company in 2009. Mr. Colterjohn has also served on the Boards of seven additional publicly traded mining companies including: Canico Resource Corp (2003 to 2005); Cumberland Resources Ltd. (2003 to 2007); Viceroy Exploration Ltd. (2004 to 2006); Explorator Resources Ltd. (2009 to 2011); MAG Silver Corp. (2007 to present); AuRico Gold Inc. (2010 to 2015) until its merger with Alamos Gold, and Roxgold Inc. (2012 to present) and Aurico Metals Inc. (2015 to present).

Over 30 years experience in the mining industry as a chartered accountant and chartered business valuator and previously a partner with Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Timothy Campbell B.A. Hons., Vice President and Secretary
Over 20 years corporate finance, regulatory compliance, going public transactions, permitting, government relations, community and First Nations consultation.
Steve Ball P.Eng, General Manager, Sugar Zone Advanced Exploration Project
Over 30 years in the mining industry as a geological engineer with technical, operations, human resources, corporate affairs and project management experience including safety and production optimization programs at Vale’s narrow vein Coleman Mine, Sudbury and the underground expansion of Vale’s Voisey’s Bay operation in Labrador. Formerly co-chair of the Mining Tripartite Committee in Ontario, Mr. Ball continues to act as steering committee Chair for the Canadian Miner Certification Program through the Mining Industry Human Resource Council (MIHR).
John H Kita, P.Eng., Chief Mine Geologist
Over 30 years in the mining industry as a geological engineer with mineral production and advanced exploration experience and over a period of 15 years developed a specialization in narrow vein mining while serving as Chief Geologist at several narrow vein gold mines located in Ontario, Armenia, Tanzania and Venezuela. Mr. Kita has also authored several NI 43-101 resource reports and provided property evaluations.
